There's a New Taylor Swift Album Out and Taylor Doesn't Want You to Stream It

The singer is not okay.
Pop Queen Taylor Swift and music manager Scooter Braun have been locked in a feud over the singer's music rights since last year, after Braun and his company Ithaca Holdings acquired the Big Machine Label Group.
Considering Taylor recorded her first six albums under Big Machine, that meant Scooter had purchased the masters to her old albums.
At one point, tensions escalated so much that Taylor claimed she couldn't even play her old hits live, and Braun revealed his family had been receiving death threats.
Since November 2019, it seemed like the situation had settled down (aside from a subtle burn in her video to "The Man"). That was until earlier today, when Taylor reignited the feud by slamming Scooter for planning to release an album of her old music without her consent.
Taking to social media, the Shake It Off singer informed her fans that Live From Clear Channel Stripped 2008, a collection of tracks she performed live when she was 18, was released on streaming services overnight without her permission.
Stans would have seen on Spotify that the album was listed as a 2017 release. Despite that, Taylor claims the songs were actually recorded back in 2008.

Taylor wrote on Instagram, "I'm always honest with you guys about this stuff so I just wanted to tell you that this release is not approved by me."
She added that Scooter Braun and his business partners must have "realised that paying $330 MILLION for my music wasn't exactly a wise choice when they need money."
The performer went on to cricitise Scooter and Big Machine further.
"In my opinion... Just another case of shameless greed in the time of Coronavirus. So tasteless, but very transparent."
You can check out Taylor's entire message below.

Scooter hasn't responded to the message yet, and as of writing this article, the album is still on Spotify.
Taylor has pledged to re-record her old music to get around Big Machine's ownership of her previous master recordings.
