Young People's Perception and Use of Generative AI
In 2023, discussions about the impact of Generative AI on education were missing one key voice that bears the greatest impact of the changes this technology brings: students and young people.
To address this issue, in April 2023, YouthInsight conducted the first Australian exploratory study with students and young people to understand their perceptions and use of Generative AI.

Australia's Top 100 Youth Brands Report 2023
In 2019, Student Edge and YouthInsight set the benchmark for ranking popular brands among Gen Z using the Brand Love Metric and surveying over 1,000 young people each wave of the study. In this third wave of Australia's Top 100 Youth Brands report, YouthInsight also conducted Maximum Differential analysis to understand Gen Z's values and primary drivers for brand and purchase decisions, and introduced the Student Edge Youth Values assessment.
In this report, learn about Gen Zs' most loved brands and find out what they really want from brands.

STEM Equity Monitor
Student Edge and YouthInsight are proud to help the Australian Government progress its commitment to improving gender equity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The STEM Equity Monitor collects data from a range of sources, integrating them into a single interactive online tool. To date, YouthInsight has contributed to the Youth in STEM 2019, 2020, and 2024 data, along with Influencer data in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Influencer data focuses on young peoples' key influencers, their parents and educators, to understand their perceptions on STEM and gender biases.
