Taylor Swift’s Re-Recorded “Red” Will Include a 10-Minute Song

Give me a longer version of "All Too Well".

Taylor Swift has announced that she will be releasing the full, re-recorded version of her fourth studio album Red on 19 November. Well, aren't we the lucky ones?

This will be the second album the singer has re-released, after dropping Fearless (Taylor's Version) back in April.

It's safe to say Swifties have a lot to be excited about, with Swift revealing that Red (Taylor's Version) will contain a massive 30 tracks, including ones we've never heard before.

Oh, and there will also be a 10-minute song.

Wait, why is she re-recording her old albums?

If you're still not sure why Swift is re-recording her old albums (how?), let's quickly recap. Basically, Scooter Braun and his company Ithaca Holdings purchased the performer's old label Big Machine in late June 2019, which gave him ownership of her masters prior to Lover.

According to Taylor, her old label offered to let her "earn" one album back every time she gave them a new one. So, Taylor decided to go ahead and re-record her first six albums instead.

So, what can we expect from Red (Taylor's Version)?

Well, Red was initially released in 2012 and featured tracks like "22", "Red", "I Knew You Were Trouble", and her best tune of all time, "All Too Well".

It's heavily speculated that many of the songs were about Swift's past relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In fact, Twitter users have already been sending him their deepest sympathies.

If you need further proof, there are a myriad of references to Swift's ex in the tracks on Red. In "All Too Well", Swift sings: "And I left my scarf there at your sister's house and you've still got it in your drawer even now."

As it turns out, Swift was photographed with Gyllenhaal by paparazzi wearing—you guessed it—the scarf.

"Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end," Swift wrote in her recent Instagram post.

"Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be... over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn't stop writing."

While the Gyllenhaal memes are truly glorious, the thing we're most interested in is the fact the re-recorded album will contain a 10-minute bop.

At this stage, Swift hasn't confirmed whether the super long track will be an extended version of a tune we've heard before, or a completely new banger.

Given that "All Too Well" is already over five minutes, it would make sense for it to be extended (we know there's more to that damn scarf).

Plus, Swift and co-writer Liz Rose have mentioned in previous interviews that there is a longer version of "All Too Well" that we've never been blessed with.

Well, one thing is certain: if "All Too Well" isn't the long track, I'll be seeing red.
