How to Watch “The Mandalorian” S2 in Australia (Because You Miss Your Baby Yoda)

I dunno, maybe you forgot since S1?

Mando is back, baby. No, not Mendo; Mando, the be-masked bounty hunter who stood between Werner Herzog and Baby Yoda in Season 1 of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

Yes, there’s a lot to absorb in just that one sentence, which is why you should probably play catch-up before getting stuck into Season 2.

But if you’re already familiar with the show and have purchased all the Baby Yoda merch your bank account allows, you’re no doubt raring to see what happens next for Mando and, ahem, The Child.

So, in case you’ve forgotten—or never figured it out to begin with—here’s how you can watch both seasons of The Mandalorian in Australia.

Season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian are on Disney+

That’s right: It’s not just home to Hamilton and a bunch of poorly-aging Disney titles.

Disney+ commissioned the original Star Wars series, just as it has a number of yet-to-debut Marvel shows, so that's the exclusive home for The Mandalorian.

Season 1 of The Mandalorian launched with Disney+ in November of 2019.

The first episode of Season 2 drops today (30 October), with new episodes following each week, up until the finale on 18 December 2020.

And good news if eight more episodes isn’t enough to satisfy your hunger: Season 3 is already in the works, at which point we fully expect Baby Yoda to become Pubescent Yoda. Gross.

Here’s what went down at the end of S1.

*Spoilers ahead for S1*

In the final scenes of S1, Mando (Pedro Pascal) hooked himself onto Moff Gideon's Outland TIE fighter and attached explosive charges before leaping off. One of the fighter's wings exploded, sending the ship spiralling into a crash.

Except, when it cut to the wreckage at the end, a fabled Darksaber sawed a hole from inside the cockpit. Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) emerged holding it and looking pretty damn angry.

How did he get the Darksaber, and why does he want Baby Yoda (or The Child, as they keep frustratingly calling it)? These are the burning questions that everyone wants answered.

*End of spoilers*

In conclusion, you can watch The Mandalorian on Disney+. (Affiliate disclosure: Student Edge may earn a commission if you click that link and buy a product from our partner's page.)
