Xbox Has Announced a “Mandalorian” Themed Controller and She’s Pricey

It’s got Baby Yoda on the back, I can’t say no to that.
If Microsoft is trying to get the attention of gamers away from PS5 and instead focused on their Xbox, they’re definitely doing the right thing with their latest controller.
With all the announcements of the Xbox Series X and S, and the buyout of Bethesda, Microsoft has dropped another spicey bombshell and has revealed a Mandalorian themed controller just in time for the premiere of the shows second season on Disney Plus.
The new controller, based of the Star Wars spin off series, is a sliver and grey masterpiece with a magnetic charging stand to match.
Modeled after the Mandalorian’s armour, it features weathered panels, metallic iconography on the handles, and a logo on the front of the charging stand.
As you would expect, an add-on like this is going to cost a pretty penny. For just one you can expect to pay USD$169.99 when a normal Xbox controller retails at about USD$60.
Unfortunately, the controller isn’t actually made of beskar steel (*cough* then why is it so expensive? *cough*), but it does feature a ‘wanted’ image of Baby Yoda on the back.
What's exciting about the new controller is that it has teased the idea of a potential Mandalorian themed Xbox game. Fan's were quick to catch onto this so i'll be keeping an eye on Microsoft.
It’s really odd that Xbox made a Mandalorian themed controller with no game to go along with it.

The controller was on pre-order but allocation has of course sold out, so if you want to get your hands on one you’ll have to wait for the official release on 31 December 2020.
While the new controller is going to work on the Xbox Series X, S and PC, it is actually made for the Xbox One. It doesn’t have a share button, or the redesigned D-Pad, or textured triggers (rude).
With the second season of Mandalorian coming out on Friday, this is sure to generate some excitement about the series. If you haven’t seen the first season yet, best go back and watch it before you jump onto season two.
