Xbox Is Giving Away An Xbox Series X Themed Bucket Hat to Keep You Phresh This Summer

Round two of giving away weird merch.

In a move that could rival the IKEA bucket hat, Xbox Australia has announced the creation and giveaway of an Xbox Series X/S reversable bucket hat, beach towel and backpack set called the ‘Let’s Play Kit'.

While a little random, the giveaway is actually meant to celebrate the launch of the Project xCloud Beta in Australia.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Project xCloud is Xbox’s cloud gaming service, so you can stream from the cloud rather than a console.

The US obviously got their hands on the service well before us, but now we're finally getting a go. You can register for a preview Project xCloud on the Xbox website now.

Partnering with local Aussie designer Dale Bigeni, the hat and towel feature a white, black, and green pattern that includes images of the Xbox controller and the Xbox logo.

The backpack is a basic black carry bag featuring the large letters ‘X/S’ on the back panel.

Xbox Australia announced the giveaway on their Facebook and Twitter accounts this morning, featuring some summery pics of the spicy merch.

The hat alone is worth $52, so you may wanna jump on this.

Considering Xbox’s last giveaway was of a giant Xbox Series X themed fridge with green interior lighting, this prize seems a lot more practical (and prettier tbh).

If you need this to complete your summer wardrobe, your only chance is to enter the competition. And with 50 chances to win, you may get lucky.

To go in the running, all you need to do is head to the promotions post on Xbox ANZ’s Facebook or Twitter page and let them know ‘how you plan to be gaming everywhere this summer.'

The competition runs from 10:00am AEST on 18 January until 11:59pm AEST pm 24 January and you must be 18-years-old or have parental/guardian approval to enter.

You can read all the T&Cs of the comp here.
