Who Is Sasha Banks Playing in "The Mandalorian" Season 2?

Fans spotted her in the trailer.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Season 2 of The Mandalorian will land on Disney+ on Friday 30 October.
While it's certainly satisfying to finally know when the upcoming season will arrive, the release date is still a whole month away. That feels like a very long time when you're missing Baby Yoda.
Fortunately, the official trailer for Season 2 has recently been released, so we can stop feeling so much separation anxiety.
If you haven't seen it yet, check it out below.
From the looks of the trailer, we're in for one wild season.
While it doesn't reveal too much about the plot, references to the Jedi are thrown around, and we're given some insight into Mando and Baby Yoda's journey back to wherever it is that Baby Yo-I mean The Child actually comes from.
However, viewers were particularly captivated by a mysterious hooded woman who shows up and then vanishes.
Fans weren't entirely sure who the character was or which actress was portraying her.
Some believed it could be Rosario Dawson, who is set to play a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, the Padawan apprentice of Anakin Skywalker. Previously, Ahsoka has only ever been seen as an animated character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Additionally, she was also heard by Rey as a Jedi voice in The Rise of Skywalker.
Except, Ahsoka belongs to the Togruta species, who are characterised by their large montrals, head tails and white facial pigments, which helps hide them from predators.
While we're not entirely sure what Dawson will look like as Ahsoka, the mysterious woman in the trailer is definitely not her.
So, who is it?
As it turns out, the hooded figure in the trailer is none other than WWE wrestler Sasha Banks.
At the moment, Banks is attached to WWE's Friday night live show SmackDown.
Back in February, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported on Banks' involvement in Season 2, but this rumour was largely unconfirmed.
What character is Sasha playing?
Well, that's the question everyone wants answered.
There's a strong possibility that Banks' character is a live-action version of Sabine Wren, who was first introduced in Star Wars: Rebels.
Wren is a fellow Mandalorian, who admirably warred against the Empire and even wielded the Darksaber. She left the Mandalore when she was young and became a member of the Rebellion as a part of the Ghost crew.
Considering the voice over from the trailer mentioned the Jedi at the same time she's shown, it's highly likely that Banks' character is a Force-sensitive individual.
If Banks is portraying Wren, it's likely she'll be more friend than foe in the upcoming season. She could even show Din Djarin that the Jedi aren't his enemies.
Woah I didn't realize Sasha Banks was playing Sabine Wren..

That's a HUGE role
Banks and Dawson aren't the only new additions to the cast in Season 2.
The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that Temuera Morrison, who portrayed Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, will star as Boba Fett, the famed bounty hunter who first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back and who seemingly died in Return of the Jedi as he fell into a Sarlacc pit.
Now, we'll just have to use the Force to exercise some patience until 30 October.
Mandalorian season 2 can’t wait!
