All the Games Announced At EA Play Live 2021

Get ready for the Dead Space remake.

Overnight, EA held its EA Play Live event and a bunch of new games were announced to get you excited for the months ahead.

The biggest game to come out of the event was hands down the Dead Space remake, but there are some other noteworthy games for everyone to get pumped about.

Here’s everything that was announced.

Dead Space is back from the dead.

Thirteen years after Dead Space was released we have confirmation that a remake is happening and we couldn’t be happier. This survival space-horror is a must-play for anyone who’s chasing that feeling Alien: Isolation gave us.

Release date TBA.

GRID Legends for the rev heads.

A storyline isn’t something you’d expect in a racing game, but more and more games in the genre are adding one. GRID Legends looks to have the most in-depth plot we’ve seen in a racing game so far, and we have to admit, it looks really good. Not to mention the graphics and gameplay look quality.

Coming 2022.

Apex Legends Emergence adds a new legend.

Fans of Apex Legends get amped ‘cos Emergence arrives early August. Players get a new legend in Seer who looks absolutely badass in the launch trailer below. Joining Seer will be a ranked mode coming to Arenas which is super exciting.

Dropping early August.

Battlefield Portal with new maps.

One of the coolest things teased at EA Play Live is the Battlefield Portal announcement. It’s a new sandbox Battlefield 2042 mode that has no limits on creativity, adding the six iconic maps from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to the new game.

You can basically pit infantry from different eras against each other. A stand-out favourite from the trailer was 1942 soldiers equipped with knives taking on 2042 soldiers armed only with defibrillators.

In stores from 22 October 2021.

The Sims 4 gets cosy with Cottage Living expansion.

If all of that high-octane action is too much for you then you’ll love taking some time to relax with the latest Cottage Living expansion for The Sims 4.

It’s pretty much a virtual escape to the country where you can have a farmstead of your own to grow your own food, raise livestock like cows, chickens and llamas, and even enter your produce in local competitions.

Available now on PC/Mac.
