Or… idk just look where you’re running?

Developers of Apex Legends, Respawn, have responded to calls initially made on reddit to remove a tree from the King’s Canyon map because too many players were getting stuck behind it and killed by their opposition when trying to retreat.

The thread called "Respawn devs please remove this tree. This tree has caused so many tragedies its not even funny" by u/kolkoin holds 180 comments, including a response from Respawn themselves to rectify the issue.

"o7 it will be done! (it might be a little bit before this gets in to live.. I'm sorry about that!)," they said.

"Thank you for calling this out! It's actually really helpful to see pain points like this, since it helps guide what will need extra focus when going forward! <3.”

From the looks of things, it seemed that when players are standing too close to the wall near the new 'Salvage' point in the southwest corner of the map, they just magically forget that the tree is even there and run straight into it, getting caught and shot in the back.

While some players are punching the air with the news of its removal, those who hug trees are not here for it, and have literally started a petition to "save the tree".

Some players reckon you should just know the map and your surroundings.

While getting rid of this destructive tree is ahem... super necessary, players have also pointed out that Respawn was quick to respond to this issue but have left other bugs and glitches unanswered.

It’s not yet clear when the tree will be removed from the live version of the game, but according to the developers it should only take "a little bit" before players are safe from this tree of terror.
