“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” Season 6 Is Coming to Aussie Netflix in January

Hot damn.

The wait for Season 6 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix has been long and hard.

At one stage, we weren’t even sure we’d get here, considering the show was temporarily cancelled. But back in January, the sixth season of the revived show finally aired on SBS. The next question was: When would S6 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine land on Netflix?

For many months, it has felt like the announcement would never come. However, you do not need to waste any more tears over Season 6’s delayed release, because we finally know when it will be arriving on Netflix Australia.

The sixth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will land on the Aussie streaming service early next year, on Saturday 11 January, while NZ fans have until Monday 13 January to prepare to binge.

Netflix ANZ announced the news on social media this afternoon, posting some very cool photos of cast members Andy Samberg, Melissa Fumero and Andre Braughter.

It’s a vibe.

Although the sixth season of the series has already aired in the United States, SBS Viceland still retains the first-run rights to any new episodes of the show in Australia. So, you would have needed to catch SBS Viceland every Friday at 8.30pm for the fast-tracked episodes.

If you have watched Season 6, you would know that one familiar face doesn't appear a whole lot. In October last year, Chelsea Peretti announced she would not be returning as a series regular to play Gina. It took us a while to come to terms with it.

Despite her absence, we cannot wait to binge S6. Plus, with S7 coming to SBS on Friday 7 February 2020, we won't have to repeat this torturous wait again. (Unless, of course, you're just gonna spend another year twiddling your thumbs until it appears on Netflix.)
