How to Watch "The Nevers" in Australia

Missing Bridgerton and want a similar show to binge? Well, The Nevers low-key looks like a supernatural version of the Netflix period drama, so this could totally be your cup of tea.

The Nevers follows a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.

So, basically Bridgerton, right? Okay, maybe not.

How can I watch it?

That means we won't have to fret too much about spoilers either, because it'll land on the same day as the US.

Although, new episodes will land weekly so you won't be able to binge the whole series at once.

Who created the series? 

The show comes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. However, after working on the first six episodes, he announced that he would be leaving the series due to being "genuinely exhausted".

"This year of unprecedented challenges has impacted my life and perspective in ways I could never have imagined," Whedon wrote in his departure statement.

From there, Philippa Goslett (Little Ashes) took over as the new showrunner.

In the past few months, Whedon—who also directed The Avengers—has faced claims of abusive behaviour from Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Charisma Carpenter, who said in a social media post that Whedon had a "history of creating toxic and hostile work environments." 

More recently, a story from The Hollywood Reporter about Ray Fisher, who also accused Whedon of racist and "abusive" behaviour on the set of 2017's Justice League, revealed new claims about alleged abuse towards Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot.

"Joss was bragging that he's had it out with Gal. He told her he's the writer and she's going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie," sources told the publication.

The Nevers stars Laura Donnelly (Outlander), Eleanor Tomlinson (Colette), James Norton (Grantchester), Olivia Williams (The Postman), Ben Chaplin (Cinderella), Tom Riley (Dark Heart) and Amy Mason (Once Upon a Time).
