Will the Snyder Cut of "Justice League" Keep Henry Cavill’s Weird, Moustache-Less Lip?

We demand justice… for Henry’s lip.
After years of campaigning from the least chill fandom in the world, it’s been revealed that Warner Bros. will indeed release the #SnyderCut of Justice League.
It’ll land on HBO Max in the United States next year. (Until HBO Max gets a release date down under, we’ll assume it’ll come to Foxtel’s upcoming streaming service, which has Australian access to HBO Max content.)
To recap as briefly as humanly possible: Man of Steel and Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder had to exit production of Justice League when his daughter Autumn tragically died in early 2017. He had, however, already turned in a four-hour edit that was nonetheless lacking special effects and other post-production necessities.
Joss Whedon took over for Snyder, retooling much of the movie to apparently inject more humour and bring the running time to around two hours. The final product did pretty poorly at the box office later that year and halted the non-Wonder Woman elements of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) in their tracks. Ben Affleck soon after abandoned the part of Batman, to be replaced by Robert Pattinson in an entirely separate new solo flick. Joker, similarly, exists outside of the DCEU. Basically, the DCEU went bust and Justice League was blamed.
However, rumours lingered that Snyder had effectively finished his own version of Justice League and, if only Warner Bros. helped to complete the post-production process, a #SnyderCut could be released to fulfill his final vision.
The DCEU’s acolytes were like a dog with a bone, occasionally spurred on by Snyder himself and the film’s stars on social media with the hashtag #ReleasetheSnyderCut.
Amazingly, their ceaseless enthusiasm for a film that maybe didn’t even exist paid off, with WB set to spend about $USD20 million to complete the film and release it to the HBO Max streaming service in 2021.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Snyder’s "optimal" cut had been sitting on a hard drive at the Snyders’ house (his wife, Deborah Snyder, is a producer). However, according to someone who had seen it, the film was like "a car with no panels, just a drivetrain and some seats." So, it'll need some work.
The original actors have all been contacted to help complete production, though it’s not known if reshoots are required. It’s also not known if the film will come to HBO Max as a four-hour director’s cut or as a six episode series.
But really, there’s only one thing we really want to know about the Snyder Cut: Will Henry Cavill’s weird, moustache-less upper lip be fixed? Because look at this thing.

For those who don’t remember (but how could you ever forget?), many of the scenes with Cavill’s Superman featured Supes with a digitally altered upper lip that looked, to be frank, like dogs***.
This was because Whedon had recalled Cavill for reshoots in mid-2017 while he was in production on Mission: Impossible—Fallout, for which he had grown a glorious moustache.

In a display of fantastic pettiness, Paramount Pictures (the studio behind Fallout) did not let Cavill shave his mo for the Justice League reshoots. They thought it would look stupid to have him wear a fake moustache (and it would also cost then $US3 million to improve digitally). So, even though WB explored the option of paying them three million dollars to let Cavill shave his face, Paramount straight up said nope.
So, WB had to digitally edit his moustache out of shots. And it was bad.
But if Zack Snyder’s footage was already finished before Fallout commenced production in April of 2017, then, all the footage of Cavill should be mo-free, right? And thus, his lips should be normal. That's good.
That is, unless they need him to pick up some more shots, because look who’s back…
