Did Taylor Swift Create a Fake Band to Re-Record Her Song for "Killing Eve"? Let's Investigate

Swifties believe she’s outsmarted Scooter Braun.

If you have watched the latest episode of Killing Eve, you would have noticed that the show's opening credits featured a haunting cover of Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" by Jack Leopards & The Dolphin Club.

It actually worked exceptionally well.

Taylor shared the cover herself in a seemingly innocent Twitter post yesterday, expressing how much she loved it.

While everything seemed quite normal at first, we should never underestimate the investigative powers of Swifties.

Taylor's fans were quick to point out that the only song ever attributed to Jack Leopards & The Dolphin Club is the "Look What You Made Me Do" cover, which is undeniably suspicious.

Additionally, while Fred Fairbrass, Jack Antonoff, Richard Fairbrass, Rob Manzoli and Taylor Swift are the credited songwriters for the original track, the cover also gives credit to a producer named Nils Sjöberg.

It might seem like nothing, but Nils Sjöberg is the same songwriting pseydonym that Tay used for "This Is What You Came For". The singer wrote the track for Calvin Harris, who was her boyfriend at the time.

The whole thing seems a bit excessive until you remember that Taylor promised to re-record all her past albums after Scooter Braun purchased her old label Big Machine, along with the masters of her entire back catalogue prior to Lover.

Could this Killing Eve cover have been recorded under a fake band name as an act of revenge? Swifties believe it's entirely possible.

However, the sleuthing does not end there.

Swifties also believe that Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, could be the singer on the cover, despite being better known for acting. In fact, you might have even recognised him in Live By Night.

Back in February, the Daily Mail reported that Taylor had asked Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge if her little brother could contribute to the show's soundtrack. Plus, Austin had previously changed his username on Twitter to "The Dolphin Club".

Like that wasn't enough to convince us, the artwork for the "Look What You Made Me Do" cover could totally be a picture of Austin as a child.

While none of these theories have been officially confirmed, one thing is definitely apparent: Taylor is a genius.
