When Will "Far Cry 6" Be Released in Australia? Here's Everything We Know

You get a pet sausage dog called Chorizo!
From the rural setting of Hope County in Far Cry 5 to a noisy Caribbean metropolis, Far Cry 6 is set to be one of the best games made for the popular series.
Overflowing with new features and starring a Hollywood actor who makes playing a villain look all too easy, we couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming game.
And yes, there is a sausage dog called Chorizo involved, but more about that later.
Here’s everything we know about Far Cry 6 so far, including when it'll be released in Australia.
When is Far Cry 6 coming out?
Details on the release date were kept under wraps for a while, but as of last week Ubisoft confirmed Far Cry 6 will hit shelves around the world—including Australia—on 7 October this year.
What is Far Cry 6 about?
The new game is set on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara which is governed by the “El Presidente” Anton Castillo, a fascist dictator who rules over the tropical paradise with an iron fist.
Yara is in the middle of a political revolution with the people revolting against the regime of Castillo. Enter you.
Gamers will get to take charge of Dani Rojas, a former soldier in the Yaran army who switches sides to fight for the freedom of the country alongside guerrilla fighters.
Defs getting some Cuba/Castro/Guevara vibes with this plot.
Warrior, survivor, and overall badass. They're here to unit the rebels of Yara and takedown Antón's reign. Learn more now! #FarCry6

Where have I seen Anton Castillo before?
If you’re wondering why the face of “El Presedente” Anton Castillo looks so familiar it’s probably ‘cos you seen him in a bunch of TV shows.
That’s American actor Giancarlo Esposito, famous for playing crime overlord Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian and Vought CEO Stan Edgar in Amazon’s The Boys.
It’s fair to say there’s no better actor in Hollywood who can play a villain on the small screen quite like him.
I'm gonna play Farcry 6 just for Giancarlo Esposito.

What’s new in Far Cry 6?
What isn’t?! Seriously, Ubisoft have gone all out with new features for Far Cry 6.
To start with, there’s a heap of vehicles that you can choose from and give your own flair.
Almost all the guns are customisable, but the creative weaponry doesn’t stop there. Guns that fire CDs, sardine cans and batteries are all part of normal guerrilla warfare.
Oh, and there are these things called ‘Supremos’. They’re backpack weapons like a flamethrower, rocket launcher and a jet back. Love it.
Tell me about the sausage dog already.
Easily the most exciting addition to Far Cry 6 is that there are gonna be in-game companions. Chorizo the Sausage Dog—complete with wheels instead of back legs—is the first amigo that will help you liberate Yara. Aside from being super cute, Chorizo can distract enemies for you so you can get the jump on them.
If Chorizo doesn’t do it for you, well maybe Guapo will. He’s your pet crocodile that you can take on those water restricted adventures. Nice.
