Wait, Is Bryan Cranston Gonna Be in the "Breaking Bad" Movie?

Wait, Is Bryan Cranston Gonna Be in the "Breaking Bad" Movie?

We, umm, see a slight issue with that.

Ever since Breaking Bad came to a near-perfect end, there have been rumours of a spin-off movie.

Even the actor behind one of its few surviving characters, Aaron Paul (better known as “Jesse!”), has been teasing such a project since 2015.

And for a while, we learned to ignore the rumblings about a flick centered on Jesse’s new life, settling for the better-than-it-should-be spin-off show Better Call Saul (which keeps on showing us events that take place after the BB finale anyway).

However, in late 2018, the Hollywood Reporter got the inside word that show-runner Vince Gilligan had written a film script that he was planning on directing, continuing the show’s story in some way. (It wasn’t known if the movie was gonna debut in cinemas, on television or a streaming service.) Walter White himself, Bryan Cranston, basically confirmed the movie was a thing shortly afterwards.

Then, all was quite on the southwestern front. Until the middle of last night, when both Cranston and Paul dropped the same ominous message on Twitter…

Fans of Breaking Bad don’t need to be told that the sepia tone of that double-donkey pic recalls the occasional flashbacks that used to precede the program’s opening credits. Could it be that the still-technically-but-who-are-we-kidding-unofficial Breaking Bad movie will indeed co-star Walter White via flashbacks? Will the late drug kingpin be seen haunting the memories of Jesse (or even Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman)? Or… and extremely belated spoiler alert… did Walt survive? If so, how?

Extremely galaxy brain prediction: Will both characters first cameo in Better Call Saul’s fifth season, out in 2020?

Well, not only do we not know, it seems that very few people in the world know. But Twitter absolutely has feelings.

Until we get more info, keep that RV running.
