That's Toit: Terry Crews Says "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" S6 Will Be Back In January

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Terry Crews might've let a huge secret slip.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans have been on an emotional rollercoaster this year.

First, the show was unceremoniously canned.

It was thankfully revived pretty soon after, though the next challenge was waiting until mid-2019 to experience new episodes.

Then, crumbling everyone's world into dust, the human embodiment of the '100' emoji, Gina Linetti (AKA Chelsea Peretti), announced that she was leaving the show.

But things might finally be looking up for us weary Nine-Niners.

During an Instagram live feed, Terry Crews told fans that Season Six would actually return to NBC in January 2019.

That's two months away, instead of the assumed eight-month-wait. TWO. MONTHS.

Crews specifically said the words, "I'm so happy, man. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is coming back in January on NBC."

Just last month it was also revealed that NBC extended the season by five episodes to a total of 18. It's still shy of previous seasons but we'll take whatever we can get at this point.

There's no word on Australia's actual release date but keep a watchful eye on this space over the Christmas period.

Season Six of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set to premiere on SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand when it returns next year.
