Splendour in the Grass Is Going Virtual This July With a Killer Lineup

Everything you need to know about Splendour XR.
Concert-goers finally have something to cheer for since COVID-19 pulled the plug on live music around the world: Splendour in the Grass is going virtual in July with a killer lineup.
Rebranded Splendour XR, Australia’s favourite winter music festival is going exclusively online, and anyone can get tickets.
Here’s everything you need to know about Splendour XR.
Wait, what is Splendour XR?
‘Cos of COVID, the minds behind Splendour in the Grass had to get creative. That’s how Splendour XR was born.
With a lineup packed with over 50 artists and bands—both homegrown and overseas—Splendour XR promises you’ll feel like you’re actually there.
What about last year's Splendour?
If you bought a ticket for last years' Splendour that was cancelled by COVID-19, hold onto that ticket because that has been rescheduled for a special spring edition on Friday 19, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November.
The Gorillaz, The Strokes and Tyler, the Creator are all still headlining so you won't be missing out.
Basically, you're getting two Splendours in one year, which is dope. Although, with a slower-than-expected vaccine rollout and ongoing coronavirus outbreaks, there's always a chance that it could be delayed again.

Lit. Now, about this lineup?
Splendour XR have gone all out for their first—and hopefully only—online festival with Khalid, The Killers, Charli XCX, Grimes, CHVRCHES, Denzel Curry and Of Monsters and Men all sharing the top billing.

There’s gonna be 70 different cameras to choose from when watching your favourite sets, and don’t think that this will be just like watching a concert on YouTube. Each artist recorded their set in their own unique way to make it a once in a lifetime experience.
Oh, and you even get to create your own avatar to wander through the virtual Splendour grounds.

So, what will a ticket cost?
First things first: you gotta get your ticket. A weekend ticket will cost ya $34.99 for the early bird special, while a single day ticket is $19.99.
Or you could blow out and get the super party pack for $279.99 which includes 5x weekend tickets, wristbands, Splendour tumblers, posters, coasters, straws, sticker pack, drink cooler bag for the bevvys, a freakin’ inflatable Splendour sign and Festoon Lighting to get the vibe just right.
That’s squad goals right there.

Looks like it's time to get the mates together, set up the party vibes and jump into Splendour XR.
