"Rick and Morty" Season 4 Comes to Australian Netflix on 22 December

And that's the wayyyyyy the news goes!

It’s been a long, painful wait for Rick and Morty fans in Australia...

... but the fourth season of the show finally has a local release date.

Despite debuting in the US on 10 November, S4 of Rick and Morty was uncommonly delayed down under (previous episodes arrived on local Netflix shortly after their American airing).

Turns out Aussie Netflix was apparently waiting for the first five episodes of S4 to debut in America on Adult Swim before sharing them here.

According to the show’s homepage, Season 4 will instead arrive in Australia on 22 December 2019.

To make up for the cruel and unusual wait, all five episodes—"Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat", "The Old Man and the Seat", "One Crew over the Crewcoo’s Morty", "Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty" and "Rattlestar Ricklactica"—will drop at once, instead of weekly.

Here's some photographic evidence:

When they do drop on 22 December, it will have been 813 days since we last got a new episode: Season 3’s finale "The Rickchurian Mortydate". That is, unless you count the bizarre all-Aussie Rick and Morty adventure from April 2018.

Anyway, here’s a context-appropriate GIF.
