Netflix Has Unveiled Their Top 10 Most Watched Movies Ever and It's Weird

How many can you tick off?

Chris Hemsworth’s action film Extraction has taken out the top spot in Netflix’s updated list of the top 10 most watched movies ever on its platform.

The list released by Deadline—which is measured by how many households watched each movie within the first four weeks of its release—is made up entirely of Netflix Original movies so kudos to them for making movies that people want to watch, I guess.

Defs needs to be said though; nearly half of these movies are rated ‘rotten’ by Rotten Tomatoes.

Just sayin’.

Btw, these figures are for households that watched more than two minutes of the film, so yeah…

Anyway, here's the top 10 list:

1. Extraction – 99 million

It’s Hemsworth in an action-packed adventure through the streets of Bangladesh. Gun fire, explosions, humour, he gets shirtless. What’s not to love?

2. Bird Box – 89 million

Sandra Bullock in a post-apocalyptic horror where a blindfold is the only thing between her and a gruesome death. A must-watch for horror junkies.

3. Spenser Confidential – 85 Million

Another buddy cop comedy to add to Mark Wahlberg’s collection. Funny at times. Keep an eye out for Post Malone.

4. 6 Underground – 83 Million

Ryan Reynolds plays another Reynold’s caricature that was funny in Deadpool but not so much in this. Ngl, I turned it off after 30 minutes.

5. Murder Mystery – 83 Million

Another Adam Sandler movie. If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.

6. The Old Guard – 78 Million

Based on the comic book of the same name, Charlize Theron is a badass in this movie. We reckon it's a good watch.

7. Enola Holmes – 76 million

Milly Bobby Brown stars as Enola Holmes, the youngest sibling of famous detective Sherlock. A fantastic film with a great cast including Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter. Watch it.

8. Project Power – 75 million

A clever take on the superhero genre where drugs are being manufactured to produce superpowers in humans.

9. (tied) The Midnight Sky and Army of the Dead – 72 million

George Clooney directed and starred in The Midnight Sky, a sci-fi about a scientist trying to discover another habitable planet after Earth begins to die.

Clooney’s film tied with Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. It’s long, but a fun ride full of zombie-induced gore and violence if you’re wanting a movie that you don’t need to think about for the night.
