Ryan Reynolds, Mad With "Deadpool" Power, Is Now Picking a Fight With Australia

Over Eurovision, of all things.
Full-time Canadian and sometimes-Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has gone ahead and sparked a war of words with Australia, saying we’re "barely on the planet."

(That he was dressed as the Merc With a Mouth himself and only did it to promote a European promo tour ahead of both the Eurovision song contest and the global release of Deadpool 2 matters not.)
Reynolds shared a video to his Twitter page with the caption, "You’ve awakened a sleeping moose, Europe," in which Deadpool complains about Canada being left out of the Eurovision competition, despite giving the world "[Bryan] Adams, [Justin] Bieber, [Neil] Young, [Michael] Bublé [and William [Shatner]."
"Our generous gift of Celine Dion alone should earn us an invite," he adds.
(It’s important to remember Deadpool is Canadian too. That’s canon.)
But Australia—who will compete at Eurovision for the fourth consecutive year, with Jessica Mauboy representing—has been caught in the crossfire, with Deadpool saying, "You let in Australia, and they’re barely on the planet."
We’ve previously enjoyed seeing Wade Wilson sarcastically tear people to shreds, but if this is how it feels to be on the receiving end, we are no longer a fan.
To quote fellow non-Canadian Phoebe Buffay, "I have tasted my own medicine and it is bitter."
Anyway, Deadpool 2 arrives in Australian cinemas 17 May, and Eurovision concludes Saturday 12 May, if you can even bring yourself to watch either…
