Looks Like We Know Who's Dead (Or "Missing") In "Avengers: Endgame" Now

Marvel really knows how to play with your emotions in the lead up to Avengers: Endgame.

If Marvel is really good at one thing, aside from churning out hit superhero movies, it's definitely drumming up suspense for their Avengers franchise.

The latest evidence of that? Teasing who's alive and who's probably not ahead of the Avengers: Endgame release.

Okay, so by this point, if you still don't know about the dramatic events that unfolded in the final scenes of Avengers: Infinity War, you've really only got yourself to blame.

**Nevertheless, here's the 'spoilers ahead' warning.**

Infinity War's Big Baddie, Thanos, snapped his fingers and half the universe vanished into fluttering pixels (and what we all assumed was death). That included half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's greatest heroes.

But until now, it's been a serious guessing game as to who'd be back, with some of the perished heroes apparently returning for origin stories or sequels (looking at you, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy). To confuse us even more, Marvel has tweeted out some posters with the survivors, AKA The Avengers, in colour, and the vanished, AKA The Fallen, in black-and-white.

Among those presumed fallen?

T'Challa
Doctor Strange
Loki
Peter Parker / Spider-Man
Gamora
Peter Quill / Star-Lord
Groot
Shuri
Nick Fury
Wasp / Hope van Dyne

Curiously enough, some of those included in the black-and-white posters didn't actually perish in the Great MCU Snapture.

Loki, while literally dying at the hands of Thanos, wasn't technically a victim of 'The Snap'.

And, while we didn't see the death of T'Challa's sister Shuri in Black Panther, her appearance in the poster series seems to indicate she did not escape Thanos' wrath.

Our reaction at this realisation:
