"Spider-Man: Far From Home" Trailer Is Out and the "Avengers" Theories Are Running Wild

Peter Parker is alive and well, thanks for asking.

The trailer for the upcoming Spidey sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, has dropped and it's the appearances that have got the Marvel community (metaphorically, hopefully?) shaking.

Peter Parker is embarking on a vacation to Europe when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) rudely interrupts his free time to borrow him for some more superhero, end-of-world type duties. You don't want to say no to Samuel L. Jackson.

Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), usually a villain, also pops by in Venice to help Parker stop another big baddie.

This is where some Avengers: Infinity War spoilers kick in.

Where this film sits in the Avengers/Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline is not super clear but, previously, Sony producer Amy Pascal explained that it will "start a few minutes after Avengers 4 [now titled Endgame] wraps as a story."

That means that despite Spider-Man and Nick Fury seemingly perishing in Infinity War, their deaths may have been undone by the events in the upcoming Endgame. Interestingly, Happy Hogan also tells Parker he's "all alone", which suggests that Iron Man/Tony Stark might not have ever made it out of space. Let that sink in.

But, obviously, Peter Parker isn't too traumatised by the colossal death count if he's jumping on a cute Euro vacay and wanting to leave his Spidey suit behind. Maybe all's still well at Avengers HQ?

So. Many. Theories.

I guess we'll find out when Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas on 25 April. Then, we'll get our dose of Spidey-takes-Europe a few months later on 4 July.
