So, Mark Ruffalo Spoiled "Avengers: Infinity War" a Year Ago and No One Listened

He just... he just gave away the ending like it means nothing.

Mark Ruffalo has his Oscar nominations, his hair and his fight against fracking, so, this whole Avengers thing is basically just a joke to him.

Okay, maybe it’s not a joke, because the money’s real, but he’s certainly been cavalier about promoting his appearances as Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk) in Avengers: Infinity War.

In fact, a year ago, at Disney’s D23 Expo, Ruffalo casually gave away the ending to what Marvel’s been touting as the "most ambitious crossover event in history"... on camera... in a video that was widely available online... and no one listened.

Well, except for Don Cheadle, who plays Jim Rhodes/War Machine in the series, and is basically the frustrated partner to Ruffalo’s loose cannon in the buddy comedy that is this incredibly awkward clip.

(Skip to 2:20 to see it happen. Oh, and spoiler alert for the end of Avengers: Infinity War.)

Movie Review: "Avengers: Infinity War" Is Here to Break Hearts

Now, why would Ruffalo spoil such a massive film event? To simply watch the world burn?

It turns out that saying “everyone dies” is just his thing. In this video, you can watch him pull the same trick on the promo trail for Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, when he tried to do it for Infinity War—in which (again, spoiler alert) half of the Avengers/the planet dies—he realised his grave error too late.

Although that doesn’t explain why both he and Don Cheadle dropped the same spoiler on the red carpet too. Don! We thought you had our best interests at heart?!

Thanos has got nothing on these world-destroyers.
