Don’t Worry, That One Character You Thought Died in "Avengers: Infinity War" Actually Survived

No, not that one. The other one.

Spoilers ahead, obviously.

If you’ve seen Avengers: Infinity War by now—and, looking at its record-breaking box office haul, that’s a fair assumption—you’re no doubt wondering how to spread your grief around.

After all (last chance, spoilerphobes; not you, Mark Ruffalo) half of all the Avengers (plus half of the planet) died in the flick’s bummer of a climax, when Thanos’ genocidal, stone-collecting, glove-wearing plan comes to fruition.

However, don’t forget about the mass killing that opens the movie, when a spaceship carrying all of Asgard is extinguished by Thanos and his weird-looking "children".

This has left fans wondering what became of Tessa Thompson’s fan-favourite character Valkyrie, who was only introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, but isn’t on-screen at all during Infinity War.

For her part, Thompson has been keeping it vague on Twitter.

But one of the film’s two directors, Joe Russo, has reportedly confirmed her fate during a Q&A session at an Iowa high school. And, good news: She made it!

However, Russo wasn’t willing to give an answer for Korg, the endearing rock-monster voiced by Ragnarok’s director, Taika Waititi, who isn’t seen on Thor’s ship despite boarding it one film earlier.
