Following the re-release of the first two games in a remastered bundle on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, nostalgia for the classic skate game has gone through the roof (and newcomers have flocked to the innocent, early-oughts pleasures of grinding rails to the sounds of Goldfinger and Primus).

But if you’ve already finished every skate park challenge—guilty—you’re no doubt looking for your next Tony Hawk fix.

Enter: Pretending I’m a Superman.

That’s right, a whole feature-length doco about the making of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater has just been released. (Well, we say 'feature-length'. It’s actually 73 minutes. Close enough!)

Directed by Ludvig Gür, Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story reveals how the star skaters and developers collaborated on the bestselling franchise, and the role the game played in promoting both Hawk and skateboarding into the mainstream.

Enough already, how do I watch it in Australia?

Well, in true turn-of-the-century fashion, Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story has been released to—get this—DVD in Australia (but not Blu-ray). Radical!

If that’s a little too retro for your liking, you can currently rent or buy the movie in Australia, digitally, on Amazon Prime, Google Play, Microsoft Store, YouTube, Fetch TV and Apple TV.

Unfortunately, as of this writing, it’s not available to stream on any of your fave streaming services.

Denied.
