"Game of Thrones" Melted Ed Sheeran’s Face When You Weren’t Looking

Thrones is back, baby, and better than ever! Ed, not so much.

Though he didn’t make your list of the top 10 Game of Thrones villains, there’s no denying that Ed Sheeran’s troubadour soldier Eddie instantly became one of the show’s most maligned figures, back when he popped up in the Season 7 premiere.

There he was, singing a ditty, and being spared a needling by Arya Stark. However, most viewers wished she would have done him in, including Hodor. Hodor!

Well, don’t worry everyone, 'cos Eddie's face is melted now.

In the Season 8 premiere, the fate of Eddie was revealed during some of the show’s iconic 'sexposition', as three naked ladies lamented the mangling of their favourite "ginger" soldier (all while straddling Bronn).

As one of the women pointed out, "That boy Eddie came back with his face burned right off," presumably as a result of a dragon attack. She added the kicker: "He’s got no eyelids now."

Will Eddie’s eyes still smile from his cheeks? Probably not anymore!

So, just to reiterate, the makers of Game of Thrones, with zero prompting and for no readily apparent reason except to kick one of their most famous fans while he’s down, burnt the eyelids off Ed Sheeran’s character and only addressed it offhandedly while Bronn was trying to get his rocks off.

Thankfully, that nice boy Ed Sheeran took it all good naturedly, finding the upside to his frying on Instagram.
