You Can’t Stream “Reputation”, But You Can Watch Taylor Swift Play a New Song for Some Randoms

Taylor Swift’s latest, already controversy-riddled album Reputation has arrived.

Of course, if you have a subscription to Apple Music, Spotify or any other music streaming service, you wouldn’t know it. The notoriously stream-phobic artist is keeping Reputation a purchase-only exclusive for at least one week (and maybe longer).

Swift, who briefly feuded with Apple Music before giving them 1984 back in 2015, ended her longstanding ban on Spotify in June; the same day Katy Perry unveiled her Witness, in fact. So shady.

And yet, Reputation cannot be streamed. (For now.)

You’ll just have to make do with the previously released singles “Look What You Made Me Do”, “… Ready for It?”, “Gorgeous” and “Call It What You Want”, as well as this newly-debuted performance video of piano ballad “New Year’s Day”, which dropped on ABC in America this afternoon.

Try not to weep at all those randoms who not only got to hear “New Year’s Day” first, but enough times to learn the chorus and sing-along.
