Twitter Enters Conspiracy Theory Mode As Taylor Swift Lets Apple Music Stream "1989"

Her majesty Taylor Swift has accepted Apple Music’s apology and deigned to grace the streaming service with her album 1989.
She had previously pledged to withhold her hit album after penning an open letter to Apple Music outlining her disappointment in the service and the royalties being offered to artists.
They immediately backflipped, as per the Queen’s wishes.
When Apple Music launches on June 30, it will become the only service on which 1989 can be streamed.
Last year, Taylor pulled her entire back-catalogue of music from Spotify, citing insufficient artist royalties.
According to Swift’s Twitter account, she is not receiving a special deal to let Apple stream her music.
After the events of this week, I've decided to put 1989 on Apple Music...and happily so.

In case you're wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you've seen Apple do with other artists, it's not.

This is simply the first time it's felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart.

Twitter users' suspicions were piqued by the quick about-face pulled by both Apple and Taylor, and have begun to suggest the whole skirmish was just a publicity stunt.
Are we being played? Maybe. I personally prefer to believe in a reality where Taylor Swift can upend a billion-dollar company’s entire corporate ethos via Tumblr.
