We Are Concerned for Steve in the "Stranger Things" S3 Trailer

Protect Steve at all costs.

The trailer for Stranger Things' long-awaited third season dropped overnight, and at almost three minutes in length, it’s a meaty preview of the spooky shenanigans set to go down in Hawkins, Indiana.

And though we’re very grateful to Netflix for giving us a teaser that wasn’t simply an ad for a new shopping centre opening within the show’s fictional universe, there is an alarming lack of Steve in this new preview.

Steve, of course, is the reformed bad-boy turned babysitter played by Joe Kerry.

The thing is, we were promised more of "Dad Steve" in S3, not less. The trailer is being remarkably stingy on that front.

Sure, there are a few adorable shots of Steve playing Star Wars with little buddy Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). However, since we only get to see him in his new ice cream parlour’s work uniform, we’re getting very nervous that there won't be that much of him otherwise in S3.

Also, a shot of him seemingly getting electrocuted is especially worrying.

Prove us wrong, Netflix! Season 3 of Stranger Things drops 4 July 2019.
