Don’t Panic: There Will Be More "Dad Steve" In "Stranger Things" Season Three

Netflix knew better than to deny us this.

As we head into the third season of Stranger Things, there’s only one thing we really wanted to know…

Will we get more 'Dad Steve'?

Well, you no longer need to take to the streets demanding actor Joe Keery get his due in S3, because producer Shawn Levy has announced they "won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic," at a panel in L.A.

According to the Hollywood Report, Levy promised, "We'll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three," adding, "I don't want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve."

'Dad Steve' of course refers to the heart-warming, hair-smoothing relationship between reformed bad boy Steve and lovelorn tween Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo). Not only did Steve protect Dustin with his patented 'baseball bat with nails', he provided some haircare advice and even dropped him off at the school ball!

Honestly, if the entire third season is just them two coiffing their considerable 'dos, we’d be fine with that.

We don’t yet know the release date for the third season of Stranger Things, but we do know that everyone is getting paid a whole lot more this time around.
