Joe Keery Reveals "Stranger Things" Season 4 Will Be the "Scariest Yet"

Here's something to look forward to.

With coronavirus having a profound impact on countries across the globe, it's safe to say we're living in highly unpredictable times. It's difficult not knowing when the pandemic will end, when we'll be able to travel again, or how it will impact Year 12 exams.

Another stressful uncertainty to deal with: We don't have a clue when Stranger Things Season 4 will land on Netflix.

Given production has halted due to coronavirus, we can probably expect a bit of a delay.

While it's certainly not the news stans want to hear, there is a silver lining. Everyone's favourite lovable doof Joe Keery has revealed what we can expect from Season 4, and it sounds promising.

In an interview with Total Film, Joe said, "I think that this year—and I know I say this every single year—but this is definitely going to be a lot scarier than prior years, because last year was pretty dark."

Additionally, he raved about Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, saying they have "really done it again."

Although, Joe also confirmed we probably won't see Steve Harrington put on the Scoops Ahoy outfit in S4.

"I know that costume served its purpose and I'm glad to retire it [laughs]. Do I have it at home for Halloween? I don't, unfortunately. They won't let me have that one. One day!"

For those who hoped the uniform would make a comeback, take a moment to process your disappointment.

Joe isn't the only actor from the popular series to disclose information about Season 4. At Liverpool Comic Con, David Harbour announced we'll learn more about Jim Hopper's backstory.

"So I know specifically that in Season 4 we will give you a big, huge reveal about Hopper's backstory," the actor said.

At this stage, we don't know much more about what we can expect from S4.

On Valentine's Day, the official Stranger Things team blessed us with a small teaser clip, revealing Hopper is definitely alive and in Russia (which everyoe had already guessed at).

Until we find out more, you'll just have to listen to this on repeat.
