This Is What Happens When Chance the Rapper Surprises High Schoolers With Donald Glover

Cue: Screaming.

Chance the Rapper brought Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover, don’t forget) to an OpenMike Chicago event, and, as you might imagine, the high schoolers in attendance lost their minds.

"My next guest needs no introduction," Chance began (perhaps hoping Cardi B wasn’t in the audience), before Gambino’s megahit "This Is America" started playing over the speakers.

As you can see in this video taken from the stage, the teens erupted, rushing the stage when it became clear that Chance would be joined by Glover for the surprise performance.

Yes, they knew all the lyrics too.

Childish Gambino just came out @OpenMikeChicago 😭

OpenMike Chicago is a "youth empowerment charity" established by Chance in his hometown, aiming to "empower youth through the arts, education and civic engagement."

Here’s hoping that collaborative Chance/Childish mixtape is just around the corner. And if they want to bring the OpenMike Chicago kids in too, that’d be just fine.
