Childish Gambino Drops Two New "Summer" Tunes to Melt Our Icy Winter Hearts

When Justin Timberlake tried to usher in an early summer, we were sceptical.

But now that Childish Gambino has dropped two tracks promising to do the same, we’re frantically inflating our pool unicorns and ready to hit the beach, winter be damned.

Gambino aka Donald Glover has released his first official follow-ups to #1 hit and Song of the Year contender "This Is America"; however, they don’t seem to be part of any future album.

Instead, loosies "Summertime Magic" and "Feels Like Summer" are from a two-song EP he’s calling Summer Pack. And in case you can’t tell, they’re about summer.

Because of that, they’re not quite as downbeat and intimidating as the incisive cultural commentary that is "This Is America", and instead call back to previous hits like "Sober" and "3005".

The good news is that when he comes to Australia later this year to perform them live, it’ll almost actually be summer. In the meantime, let his warm island songs melt your icy hearts. (Only "Summertime Magic" is playable in Australia via YouTube, but you can find them both on iTunes.)
