Is Childish Gambino's Australian Tour Going to Be Postponed?

Our emotions!

Childish Gambino (sometimes known as Donald Glover) has had to postpone his "This Is America" tour as a result of a foot injury.

The announcement was made on Twitter by Fam Rothstein, who is a co-principal of creative agency Wolf + Rothstein alongside Glover and Wolf Taylor.

This is America tour is postponed, not cancelled. My guy played through the pain, but has to sit some dates out. Back before the years over.

Though only his upcoming American dates have been delayed (so far), Australian fans will be understandably nervous, given that Gambino's meant to come to our shores for a series of concerts in November. (He's also slated to bring his PHAROS festival to New Zealand at the end of November too.)

And let's just say that if Gambino cans his AU/NZ tour to make-up for the October gigs he's missing in America, it won't "Feel Like Summer" Down Under... it'll feel like bummer.

Student Edge has reached out to concert promoter Live Nation for comment on Childish Gambino's Australian leg.

An official at the American Airlines Center in Dallas told TMZ that Glover broke his foot on Sunday while attempting a dance move. Glover apparently left the stage 30 minutes early and did not return for the rest of the gig.

However, he had performed in Vegas a couple nights earlier, and reportedly arrived at the venue in a wheelchair and wearing a leg brace, suggesting that he simply aggravated a preexisting injury at the Dallas stop.

It's all very mysterious.

Throughout the tour, Glover has said these will be the last ever "Childish Gambino" concerts.

We wish him a speedy recovery.

Update (27/09): The American concert dates have been rescheduled to December, after his Australian and New Zealand commitments. But does that mean the AU/NZ dates are safe? We're still waiting for confirmation, but no news is good news, right?

Update (01/10): Live Nation has confirmed to Student Edge that Gambino's "AU/NZ tour dates are going ahead as planned". Huzzah!

Update (29/10): Aaand now it's cancelled.
