The Best Part of “Wonder Woman” Will Come Back for “Justice League”

You have to look far and wide to find someone who wasn’t at least pleasantly surprised by DC’s Wonder Woman.
You’d also have to look even further (and yes, perhaps even wider) to find anyone who didn’t walk away obsessed with Wonder Woman’s aunt, General Antiope, played by Robin Wright, star of The Princess Bride, House of Cards and now, the nightmares of MRAs across the globe.

Clearly the studio knew they were onto a good thing when they saw clips of Wright, in full battle armour, slow-mo flying through the air, firing arrows into the hearts of German soldiers, because they’ve invited her back for this November’s epic DC team-up flick, Justice League.
In a chat with the L.A. Times, Connie Nielsen (who played Queen Hippolyta, mother to Wonder Woman, aka Princess Diana) broke the news that she and Wright would be back for more Amazonian ass-kicking later this year.
“[Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well; as sisters as well; kind of badass as well,” she confirmed.
In case you thought Nielsen was speaking out of school, she was.
“We can't say much, but…” she added, before Wright, mustering up the courage and not-giving-an-effness of Antiope herself, jumped right in to say, “[We’ll see] more of the story, you get some of the history.”
Of course—and decent-sized spoilers for Wonder Woman ahead—anyone who actually saw Wonder Woman might be a bit surprised by this news, given that, you know, General Antiope died from a bullet wound during the picture’s first act.
Well, if you thought death was enough to stop Antiope, you just don’t know Antiope.
