Taylor Swift Is Only Going To Feud Via Text From Now On

Learning probably the wrong lessons from her Cuban Missile Crisis-esque stand-off with Nicki Minaj, Taylor has pledged to feud only through texts from now on.

Swift told NME the resolution came after her Tweet war with Minaj, which, if you’ve somehow forgotten, began when Minaj criticised the MTV VMAs for their systematic snubbing of black women, throwing an unspoken elbow towards Swift in the process.

(It culminated with an apology from Swift – who had misinterpreted the comments as a direct personal assault – and a joint performance at said VMAs.)

"I don't want to talk about it," Swift explained to NME, "but I send text messages now."

"If there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding, I go to someone's management, I get their number and I text them. It's an important lesson for anyone to learn in 2015."

Let it be known that Swift is not ruling out beefs entirely – besides, having bad blood has been pretty lucrative for her thus far – but rather, encouraging a more covert kind of beefery.

That’s way less fun for the rest of us.

In the same NME interview, Swift spoke of her post 1989 world tour plans.

“I think I should take some time off,” she said.

“I think people might need a break from me. I’m going to… I don’t know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know."
