Student Edge Wrapped 2024: The Deals, Content and Comps Gen Z Loved This Year

Comps, deals, content: you loved it all 🎉

2024 was a big year for us here at Student Edge, we got to interview some incredible people, create some really fun content and deliver new comps, cool deals and some sick surveys.

2024 stood on business, so keep scrolling to find out what ya’ll loved best from Student Edge in 2024.

Celebs? We know ‘em.

Not only were we lucky enough to have so many amazing shows and movies come out this year, we got the chance to talk to some of your favourite stars.

This year we spoke to Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace about the new Ghostbusters movie. We chatted to Isabela Ferrer and Alex Neustaedter (aka young Lily and Atlas) from the highly-anticipated film It Ends With Us.

And we also got to speak to Mia Challis from Outer Banks who talked to us about her new character in the show (trust us, she’s a lot sweeter than the character she plays). She even gave some encouraging words to students doing their ATAR.

The stories & content you loved most.

We had a lot of news surrounding students and money this year, particularly around HECS debt.

While everyone was excited to see some money disappear from their student debt, Student Edge members are pop culture lovers through and through and the most popular article for this year was about the very hyped TV series, Fallout.

And you all really wanted to know what age to get your driver’s licence and where to get a casual job in Australia.

When it came to social media, you guys defs had a type: you loved relatable memes and cool interviews.

You voted on your favourite employer…and one came out on top.

There are heaps of places you could find a casual job while studying in 2024. And while there were some big contenders, one came out on top.

1000’s of you voted on your top employer, and Apple took the number one spot.

Followed by Woolworths, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and Kmart.

And we found out what you looked for in an employer.

It wasn’t just about your fave employer, you guys also voted on your most important employer value.

It wasn’t all about the employer itself. You guys valued a competitive salary, advancing in your career, integrity and social responsibility, non-salary rewards and the ability to be creative and innovative.

Student deals? You loved them 🙌

And of course one can’t mention our 2024 Wrapped without mentioning student deals. And it’s because you loved them. Members viewed our deals a whopping 672,994 times…and counting.

And your top five deals were our HOYTS, Krispy Kreme, Chatime, Apple and Woolworths.

You guys loved competitions.

Competitions are great and nothing brightens our day more than hearing we’ve won a comp we forgot about entering. Turns out heaps of you felt this way too because over 16,500 of you entered a comp this year and there were over 800 winners.

Altogether, there was $84,600 given to Student Edge members in comp prizes in 2024.

We helped you earn something x-tra 😉

Surveys? They slap. And turns out a whole heap of you thought so too.

We hooked a bunch of you up with some Edge Credits (which can be translated into real dollars) when you completed a Student Edge survey.

And it meant we’ve given away over $200,000 in earnings to Student Edge survey participants.

And the best one yet: we got to know even more of you.

At Student Edge, nothing makes us happier than seeing our members scoring big with our deals, surveys, life tips, and content.

This year our Student Edge membership grew over 1,441,060 and counting.

If you’re not a member yet and if you want to get in on all this goodness, sign up so you can unlock these perks in 2025.
