Robert Downey Jr. Invites Sydney’s Iron Boy Into The Avengers; Everyone Cries

Sydney was today saved by nine-year-old Domenic Pace, working under the guise of Iron Boy, following an attack by Ultron.

Like Batkid and Spider-Mable before him, “Iron Boy” was called upon by the chief of police to rescue reporter Hope Joy from the clutches of Ultron.

The live-action adventure was orchestrated for Pace, who has cystic fibrosis, by the Make-A-Wish foundation and NSW police. It was documented by ABC News.

Domenic was joined by his brother Joseph, posing as Captain Rhodes, as they travelled across Sydney in a helicopter and finally a speed boat to recover Joy at the Opera House.

He was later awarded the Commissioner’s Award for Gallantry.

If you’re not already weeping at the beauty of this sometimes wonderful world, take a look at this special message recorded by Robert Downey Jr, in which he invites Pace to join The Avengers and tells him: “Iron Man loves you.”

We’ll forget for a moment that the Avengers are in disarray ahead of Captain America: Civil War and just bask in the moment’s loveliness.
