Make Sweet Music With Tame Impala, Flume and More Thanks to Triple J

It’s time to unleash your inner DJ.
Being stuck at home because you're practicing social distancing due to coronavirus is not exactly fun. In fact, right about now there's a chance you've forgotten what day it is and you're quickly running out of things to do.
Perhaps you've been keeping yourself busy by creating TikTok videos, playing an instrument or belting out your favourite Disney songs?
Well, it looks like you now have an opportunity to put those creative skills to good use.

Earlier this week, triple j announced their #DIYSupergroup competition, giving you the opportunity to make music with some of Australia's best artists including Tame Impala, Flume, Tash Sultana, The Jungle Giants, Middle Kids, Amy Shark, Tkay Maidza and G Flip.
The competition challenges aspiring musicians to use recorded samples and loops provided by these artists to come up with your very own song.
To get started, you'll need to download the samples and loops from the triple j website here. Then, you'll create your track using the samples from at least three of the artists included.
Don't be afraid to get creative. Whether you want to rap, sing or create epic beats, you can show off your skills however you'd like.
After you've finished making your tune, you can upload it to your triple j Unearthed artist page by midnight AEST on Sunday 17 May. Make sure to include #DIYSupergroup in the title so triple j can find it.
If you don't already have a triple j Unearthed artist page, you can set one up here.
The finalists will be announced on triple j brekkie with Sally & Erica, and the winner will have their track played all over the airwaves on triple j and triple j Unearthed radio.
It's important to remember that if you don't win, you can't go dropping it as your next single. The loops and samples are only to be used for competition purposes.
Go forth and create a masterpiece!
