Mad Mex Has Changed Its Name to “Mad Vegan”

Grab your vegan amigos and get chomping!

World Vegan Day is fast approaching on 1 November and Mad Mex is catering for the hordes of hungry herbivores in a unique way.

In the run-up to the day, the Mexican eatery has rebranded to ‘Mad Vegan’–and introduced one heck of a tasty deal.

But first—some vegan stats that’ll blow your mind.

There are a whopping half a million vegans in Australia, and the plant-based food market is growing rapidly.

The market also offers an environmentally friendly alternative to most animal agriculture industries. According to Vegan Australia, 49 per cent of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to animal agriculture over a twenty-year timeframe. That’s a lot of stinky cows.

Mad Mex (sorry, Mad Vegan) has been serving up plant-based options year-round. In the past 12 months alone, they’ve dished up 25 tonnes of tofu “veggie rancheros” and 15 tonnes of vegan chicken.

For reference, that’s an average fire truck’s worth of tofu and 2-3 Tyrannosaurus Rex’s worth of vegan chicken.

Mad Mex Head Honcho Clovis Young promises, “our healthy vegan menu options, available to not just our flexitarians, vegetarians, and vegans, but to all our customers, pack a punch with all the authentic Mexican flavours you know and love.”

For a limited time only, you can grab the “To-fu One Deal” (a cracker of a pun) and get two options from the vegan range for the price of one. If you’re gonna have some Veggie Rancheros, why not also throw in a meal with the Poco Diablo Spicy Vegan Chicken?

Just sashay your way into any Mad Vegan store on 1 November for the deal. Oh, and you can receive free home delivery on vegan menu items when you order via Menulog!

All this Mexican food could put me in a food coma. Time for a siesta nap, I reckon.
