We Put Eight Student Ambassadors to the Test With Grill’d’s New Impossible Burger

Can you taste the difference?
This post is presented in partnership with Grill’d.
Many a meat eater love a good ol’ burger every now and then, but how easy is it to fool a meat eater with a plant-based burger?
Well, we got curious, so, we put eight student ambassadors’ tastebuds to the test to see if they could tell the difference between a Grill’d Beef Burger and the new Grill’d Impossible™ Burger, with zero meat.
Of course, we kept them blindfolded, so their sight couldn’t spoil the surprise, but even your eyes can deceive you with this super meaty plant-based burger.
The new Impossible™ Burgers are juicy, meaty and have the exact texture and taste you’d want from a meat burger. They cook and taste like beef, but Grill’d has made sure to dial up the likeness by adding a dash of their signature relish and herbs in their burgs.
Plus, for a super limited time only, Grill’d are offering up the Impossible™ Burger for just $5 to Relish members. Just head to the Grill’d website to get your deal.
Check out how our ambassadors scored below. Spoiler alert: some were defs fooled.
What is the Impossible™ Burger?
The Impossible™ Burger is a veg head's dream. It’s all the meatiness, saltiness, and flavour of a beef burger without the meat. Which means big things for your bod, the planet, and the animals.
All four Impossible™ Burgers are made with plant-based Impossible™ meat, which is an awesome source of protein at 19 grams according to Healthline, as well as iron and fibre, and has no antibiotics or hormones.
Impossible Beef is 100 per cent made from plants and it contains zero animal-derived ingredients. Plus, Grill’d are the only burger joint in Australia where you'll find it. This is a huge win for the animals and for any animal lovers out there.

While most people would assume that a veggie burger is just for veggie lovers, the Impossible™ range is made for people who love meat and want to eat more plants.
It’s also a great option if you want to do your bit for the planet too. Going for an Impossible™ Burger helps to take a little of the pressure off the planet, which we know could do with some R and R.
Compared to beef patties, Impossible™ meat uses less land and less water, making them lighter on the earth and delicious on the tastebuds.
‘Cos as we know, meat consumption is a massive contributor to climate change and the world’s carbon footprint, so reducing your intake is one of the single biggest ways to reduce your impact on our Earth.
If you’re game enough for the challenge, take your next date to Grill’d and put it to the test with the beef burger side by side. You won’t be disappointed.
