Holy Guacamole, Taco Bell Is Expanding in Australia

Soon, every day of the week will be Taco Tuesday.

American taco-slingers Taco Bell are finally expanding their Australian reach, announcing their plans to open in Melbourne this summer.

Founded in 1962, Taco Bell made its first foray into Australia in 2017, setting up shop in Queensland. There are now five locations in QLD (Annerley, Cleveland, North Lakes, Robina and Southport), with two more in Keperra and Beenleigh on the way. However, no one else in the country has been able to enjoy the Bell’s burritos, quesadillas and stacked nachos.

That ends, soon.

Details are thin at the moment, so we don’t know where the first Taco Bell will open in Melbourne, or when. Also unknown: whether or not Taco Bell will ever come to NSW, SA, TAS, WA, ACT or NT.

For now, you must only dream of the taco shell-ensconced delights coming our way. Unless you’re in Queensland, of course. You can get stuck into their tacos literally right now.
