Kanye West Knows You're Joking About His Yeezy Slides But He Doesn't GAF

Kanye West and the Case of the Small Slides.

Kanye West may not seem like the most self-aware rapper in the game but every now and then, we get a glimpse of a man who is not only self-aware but excellent at taking jabs at it.

Exhibit A: The Case of the Small Slides.

A few weeks back, Kanye West made an appearance at 2 Chainz's wedding and while his suit was lauded for being dapper, it was his slides that had people talking.

West later tried to explain himself via Twitter that he was actually wearing slides "the Japanese way" but most people still weren't convinced.

So, in order to successfully troll the internet (and remind everyone he's not in debt anymore), West decided to make his slides in a few sizes too big.

In other Kanye news (because there's always other Kanye news), he's also announced that he still intends to run for the U.S. presidency in 2024 with his party, The Birthday Party.

He told Power 92 Chicago that running his own multi-billion dollar business has helped set him up for the job.

"If I decide to do it, it will be done. I'm not gonna try," he said.

In the same interview, he apologised for his controversial slavery comments earlier this year, explaining that he "apologise[s] for the way it made people feel."

"I'm not blaming mental health but I'm explaining mental health," West explained. 

"I definitely was ramped up and I definitely was a bit manic.

"I have to step ahead of the whole crazy thing, and let me tell you, I've been diagnosed with bipolarity.

"I get my sleep. I don't drink a lot of alcohol. I drink a lot of water, and I work on my diet, and work on my mind and I talk and be around people who love me."
