Yes, Kanye West Is Writing a Philosophy Book and Yes, It's Going to Be the Best of All Time

From chipmunk soul to fashion to philosophy, Kanye West is back on his bulls***.

Following a break after releasing The Life of Pablo, raising three children with very famous wife, Kim Kardashian West, and a mental health crisis, Ye has returned to the headlines to announce he's working on a philosophical book.

While interviewing his interior designer Axel Vervoordt for The Hollywood Reporter, Kanye West mentioned he was working on a philosophy (or rather, a concept) about photographs and how they represent history. He plans to release it in a book called Break the Simulation.

"I'm on the fence about photographs—about human beings being obsessed with photographs—because it takes you out of the now and transports you into the past or transports you into the future," West explained.

"People dwell too much in the memories. People always wanna hear the history of something, which is important, but I think it there's too much of an importance put on history."

Earlier in the interview, he explained his thoughts on time and how it's informed a lot of his creative works in the past.

"The future is here now, the past is here now," West said. "I'm big on connecting with timeless energy, with people and musicians that I'm around.

"When working on "Runaway" [video] with [director] Vanessa Beecroft, it was very important to not define the time, to not give any labels to the environments that we were in."

He also said that he believes Kim Kardashian West is the modern representation of Marie Antoinette of our time. Some truly on-brand statements.

While there's no release date or other information on this unreleased book, we can't help but wonder if some of these memorable quotes will make it in the final copy.

You gotta give it to him though; he does seem to know things and if this book turns out to be a whole bunch of incoherent dribble, we can always fall back to his great music and braggadocio.
