How to Watch "Brave New World" in Australia

Get ready for some serious sci-fi vibes.

It is no secret that 2020 has been one highly chaotic year. Between the Australian bushfires, protests against police brutality and the coronavirus pandemic, we haven't been able to catch a breath.

So, if you have felt like escaping into an entirely different world, we certainly don't blame you.

Well, it looks like your chance to delve into another universe is here, because a new sci-fi series called Brave New World is coming to Stan.

The show is set to land on Stan on Friday 16 October, and will be the first Peacock Original Series to land exclusively on the streaming service.

All nine episodes will land at once, so you can probably watch the whole series over the course of one weekend.

Back in August, it was revealed that Stan has secured a new content deal with global entertainment giant NBCUniversal that will boost the amount of programs and films available on the streaming service. The deal gives Stan subscribers access to content from NBCU's streaming platform.

Based on Aldous Huxley's groundbreaking 1932 novel, Brave New World imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money and history itself. As citizens of New London, Bernard Marx (Harry Lloyd) and Lenina Crowne (Jessica Brown Findlay) have only ever known a rigid social order, a perfect pharmaceutical called Soma and a culture of instant gratification.

Except, when the two New Worlders embark on a vacation to the Savage Lands, they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion. The pair are rescued by John the Savage (Alden Ehrenreich), who escapes with them back to New London.

However, John's arrival in the New World threatens to disrupt its utopian harmony, leaving Bernard and Lenina to wrestle with the repercussions.

The show is created by Grant Morrison, Brian Taylor and David Wiener.

Additionally, you may recognise Lloyd from his role as Viserys Targaryen on Game of Thrones. Plus, the series also stars Joseph Morgan, Hannah John-Kamen, Demi Moore, Sen Mitsuji and Kylie Bunbury.
