How to Request a Refund for "Cyberpunk 2077"

Sony has pulled the game from the PlayStation Store.

We patiently impatiently waited for many months for Cyberpunk 2077. We overcame the monster updates the highly anticipated game required and we adjusted our consoles to improve the game's graphics.

Let's just say: we've given a lot to Cyberpunk 2077.

Now, after this rollercoaster ride, Sony has announced that they're pulling the game from the PlayStation Store and offering refunds to unhappy gamers.

So, you're probably wondering: How on earth do I get my refund?

Well, the official PlayStation Twitter account tweeted earlier today that they will "begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via the PlayStation Store and want a refund."

So, you can follow the link here to get that process started.

On the website, it states: "Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund."

You'll need to sign-in to submit your request for a refund.

Of course, some refunds may take longer than others, as it'll vary based on your payment method and which financial institution you're with.

Digital refunds are usually restricted to recently-purchased games that have been played for under two hours, but according to Lifehacker, some gamers have reported getting refunds even if they've played it for longer.

You can also request a refund for digital copies of the game from the Microsoft Store (Xbox One) here, Steam (PC) here, and GOG (PC) here.

At this stage, it's not entirely clear how long the refund requests will take to be processed.

If you have any issues obtaining a refund, you can email CD Projekt Red's dedicated refund support team at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com to receive some help. At the moment, it looks like you'll only be able to email them until 21 December.

It's unclear when Sony plans to return Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store. The company's note just says the game will be unavailable in its digital format "until further notice". As of writing this article, the game is still on the Microsoft Store.

CD Projekt Red has promised two major patches for consoles that are due to arrive in January and February 2021, which will hopefully bring the PS4 and Xbox One to the standard of PC and next-gen.

Well, hasn't this been highly chaotic?
