HBO Has Confirmed The Fate Of Jon Snow In “Game Of Thrones

With Season 6 of Game of Thrones on the immediate horizon, HBO is eager to put to bed the year-long debate regarding the fate of a key character.

Needless to say, if you’ve not seen the GOT Season 5 finale, do not read on. (But then, why did you even click on this link? You’re a glutton for punishment!)

In the just-released episode description for season opener The Red Woman, Jon Snow is confirmed as having passed on. He’s expired and gone to meet his maker. He’s bereft of life. He’s an ex-Jon Snow.

Plainly, he’s dead.

Here’s the full description, from THR.

“Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again."

Does this clarification – plus actor Kit Harington’s own claim that you’ll only see him as a corpse in Season 6 – bring to an end the rumours of his return?

Or, does the Melisandre-evoking episode title suggest a supernatural resurrection is in the cards?

And can we hear more about this "strong man"? All will be revealed when GOT begins once more on April 24.
