Your Next Big Beef: Grumpy Cat v. Grumpy Dog

It’s been a great year for feuds.

Nicki Minaj v. Taylor Swift. Azealia Banks v. Australia. Siri v. Cortana.

But perhaps none will leave more of a wreckage in its wake than the bubbling battle between the Internet’s reigning beloved pet, Grumpy Cat, and up-and-comer Earl the Grumpy Dog.

Earl, a 5-month-old Puggle, has quickly built up a rabid following on Instagram and Facebook, thanks to an expression that evokes complete and utter over-it-ness.

It’s too early to tell if Grumpy Dog will manage to equal the heights of Grumpy Cat (who, we should note, has her own book and movie).

Nonetheless, with the world set to be divided into two warring camps, we see only one possible outcome: a meme-pocalypse.

Grumpy Cat, aka, Tardar Sauce, is yet to comment on the matter.
