“Grand Theft Auto 5” Is Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X This November

Get five star wanted from 11 November.

The release date for Grand Theft Auto 5 on the PS5 and Xbox series X/S has finally been announced by Rockstar games and we couldn’t be happier.

Scheduled for a 11 November release, Rockstar sneakily slipped the announcement onto the back of their latest post on the Rockstar Newswire about their upcoming plans for GTA Online and Red Dead Online.

Rockstar are calling the upcoming release an “expanded and enhanced” version for the newest generation of consoles and we have no idea what that means but we love it.

All we know is there will be new features for the PS5 and Xbox X/S versions of the game, but details on what they might be are being kept hush hush.

On top of these new features, GTA Online will include summer (winter for Aussies) updates that PS5 and Xbox X/S users will benefit from.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of GTA III too, Rockstar are including some surprises in the GTA Online update that will be a throwback to the 2001 game.

It gets even better for PS5 players too as Rockstar have promised that GTA Online will be free for them for the first three months. Love that for us.

PlayStation Plus members on the PS4 are also being given $GTA1,000,000 every month until GTA Online launches for the PS5. To claim it, all you need to do is visit the PlayStation Store at the start of every month.

Sorry Xbox players, no perks for you yet.

Finally, a fun little fact for all you GTA fans: once the game drops on PS5 and Xbox X/S, it will be the third generation of console that the game has been released on.

Here's some of the best reactions to the news from Twitter:

Ahh, I love the internet. But seriously Rockstar, make a start on GTA 6.
