Florence Pugh Very Nicely Tells IG Fans to Stop “Hurling Abuse” at Boyfriend Zach Braff

People have a lot to say about their 21-year age gap.

While being a celebrity has its perks, one significant downside is having the entire world make judgements about your personal life. That’s why many well-known people, including pop star Taylor Swift, opt to maintain their privacy as much as possible.

Little Women star Florence Pugh is also fairly private on social media, choosing to share videos of her impressive DIY cooking skills and goofy dance moves rather than anything about her relationships.

However, that changed earlier this week when she posted a photo of her boyfriend Zach Braff to celebrate his 45th birthday.

"Happy Birthday wishes, boogies and cheers for this special person," Florence wrote.

Soon enough, the post attracted a landslide of negative comments, shaming the couple for their age gap. Florence is 24, making the Scrubs star 21 years her senior.

Upset with the abuse hurled towards her boyfriend, the actress, who will also appear in Black Widow, posted an IGTV to express her disappointment.

"Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted, I had about 70 per cent of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid, and basically bullying someone on my page," Florence said.

"It's the first time in my entire Instagram life that I've had to turn off comments on my page."

In true Flo fashion, wearing spot stickers and all. To those of you that this video applies to- please listen. Please learn. Being hateful is not trendy.

The Midsommar actress went on to explain that she won't allow hateful comments to be written on her Insta, and encouraged people who don't agree with her relationship to unfollow her.

"It's not your place, and it really has nothing to do with you," she said.

Florence also added that she doesn't know when "cyber bullying became trendy."

You do you, Florence.
